The Social Foundry Introduces the UNITY Development Platform for Salesforce.com
By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor
The Social Foundry, an Atlanta based application software provider and developer of the SOAPbox database integration platform, recently announced the introduction of UNITY, a development platform for Salesforce.com (News - Alert) developers.
In a statement, a spokesman for the company said that, "Most companies that integrate with Salesforce.com have to import data into the platform using costly integration tools. Our development platform allows Salesforce.com developers to interact with their database of choice in real time. UNITY allows for true homogeneous system interaction at the fraction of the cost of traditional integration methods."
Using UNITY organizations will now be able to easily interact and connect with any database in real time at substantially lowered costs as opposed to conventional integration options.
The Social Foundry said that, "With UNITY, data integration is not longer an expensive or time consuming process. Developers can now focus more time on the user experience which in turn translates into faster development times and an overall better product."
The Social Foundry essentially focuses on simplifying and making data sharing affordable for SMBs. In keeping with that aim, the company developed its popular offering "The SOAPbox.” Designed to be a low cost alternative to currently available data integration solutions, the SOAPbox supports both on-premise and cloud infrastructure by quickly creating Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
The tool eliminates the need for maintaining expensive middle-ware platforms and completely does away with fragmented integration projects. Users can now easily connect their Force.com applications with any on-premise system in real time using the company's Force.com connectors for the SOAPbox.
The Social Foundry focuses on providing its customers with the latest in data integration technology solutions. The company specifically focuses on making data sharing easy and affordable for small and medium sized organizations. At present, The Social Foundry is working on the release of a number of pre-built connectors for different cloud platforms which includes Salesforce.com, Microsoft (News - Alert) Azure, and Google Apps Engine.
